The Born Newsletter

Hello 4th Grade Families,

We enjoyed a wonderful Grandparent’s Day on Friday with a program, beautiful music, delicious food, and the sweetest introductions and visits with many grandparents!  Thank you so much, Parents, for providing fantastic food for our potluck, and to those parents who helped with serving and set up/ clean up, I can’t thank you enough.  Mr. Esqueda, Mrs. Girma, Mrs. Frankhan, and others who pitched in, great effort - THANKS so much!

Today, a form to be filled out for Parent Teacher Student Conferences is being sent home.  Please return it at your earliest convenience so that you have the best chance at the time frame that works best for you.  We will be going over the Iowa Assessment results as well as 1st quarter’s report card.  I look forward to meeting with you.

Our next field trip is this Thursday, October 17, when we will walk to Torrance Cultural Arts Center and see the stage play, “Annie.”  4th and 5th will walk together and have lunch at Delthorne Park on the way back to school.

Henderson Library books are due this week on Wednesday.  There is a bin in our classroom and I will return them.  If not in the bin by Tuesday afternoon, students are responsible for returning them to Henderson Library on Victor St.  They have a drive up drop off box for your convenience.  Thank you.

Make sure your recorder and book are at school everyday along with your reading log and folders.

Double check the supply list for 4th grade to make sure your child has the necessary tools and gear for success.  Please make sure earbuds or headphones are at school everyday as well as a healthy and nutritious snack and a reusable water bottle.

Check out the Seabreeze, our online school newsletter that is published weekly on Tuesdays.  The full school calendar can be found there.
